Urban Influence Magazine is a joint venture between T. Brown Publishing and the National Urban League. Urban Influence Magazine is designed to extend the message of the National Urban League throughout its membership and beyond, while addressing relevant issues of emerging urban influencers.
Marc Morial, president and chief executive officer of the National Urban League says, “We must begin to reach out to a new generation of community and socially conscious young men and women in order to move this organization and our community forward. Urban Influence Magazine will serve as the key communication vehicle to reach this critical audience.”

California Black Health Network |

The California Black Health Network (CBHN) is the oldest and largest organization of African American public health professionals in California. CBHN was organized in 1978 as a collaborative arrangement with the Bay Area Black Consortium for Quality Health Care, the Black Health Leadership Council of Los Angeles, and the San Diego Black Health Associates. In 1982, CBHN was formally incorporated as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. We are now comprised of six local chapters and three affiliate; the Bay Area Black Health Consortium for Quality Health Care; the Black Health Leadership Council of Los Angeles; the San Diego Black Health Associates, the Sacramento Black Health Network, and the Inland Empire African American Health Consortium. A recent addition to the North County African American Health Consortium.

HISTORY Established in 1976 as a private non-profit organization, the LBA is the country’s largest Latino business entity by virtue of total active membership and overall outreach to Latino business owners. This year, LBA celebrates 30 years of commitment and economic impact by creating business growth, providing advocacy and business education. In 1998, the LBA established a non-profit 501©(3) Institute (LBAI), generating millions of dollars in procurement and business loans since its inception. STRATEGY Our strategy revolves around being a "learning organization" that leverages innovative, visionary thinking. One that embraces transformational change that allows us to foresee economic trends, so that we are able to take advantage of opportunities and maneuver quickly. This allows us to develop and modify our programs and services to better fit the needs of our members businesses. STRUCTURE The LBA is governed by an elected Board of Directors, which includes the Executive Committee comprised of the Chairman of the Board, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary.
